Ingredients of Garam Masala:


2 tablespoons of cardamom
1 crushed cinnamon stick
2 tablespoons dried coarse coriander
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
2 teaspoons black pepper
A small spoon of cloves
2 tablespoons of cumin seeds, not ground

How to make garam masala:

1. Mix all the ingredients together well on a small plate
2. Toast in a non-stick frying pan over a fire for 10 minutes
3. Take it off the fire and set it aside to cool down
4. Put it in the grinder and grind it smoothly until it becomes a fine powder
5. Keep it in an airtight container and use it when needed
