How to make kofta with sauce



Kofta is one of the most popular foods in the Arab region, as it is famous in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, and Turkey. 

And it has many recipes and methods of preparation according to the country in which we will implement and cook its method. 

And meat is its main ingredient with different added things. And one dish weighing about 380 grams contains about 476 calories, distributed between fats, saturated fats, cholesterol, carbohydrates, and proteins.


Kofta ingredients with red sauce


Kofta Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilogram minced meat
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic, with coriander
  • 1 teaspoon spices
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste


Sauce Ingredients:

  • 5 tomatoes, squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic, with coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon spices
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 meat broth cube
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil



How to make Kofta with red sauce


  1. In an electric grinder, mix all the kofta ingredients until smooth.
  2. We make medium size balls from the kofta mixture.
  3. The kofta balls are placed on a tray and then placed in the oven until fully cooked.
  4. In a pot on the stove, start preparing the sauce by heating the oil, then put the onions until browning, then the garlic until browning, then put the rest of the ingredients and leave them on a low heat until it reaches the completion stage of the infusion.
  5. Add the kofta to the sauce and stir until it boils. Then put it in a serving dish and serve hot with white rice.

Kofta ingredients with white sauce


  • 1/2 kilo minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 cup liquid flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup cooking cream
  • 1/4 cup ranch sauce
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • salt and pepper as needed
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 1 lemon, squeezed



How to make kofta with white sauce


1- Add the flour to the meat, onions, and coriander so that they stick while kneading.

2- From the mixture, we make medium-sized balls and then put them in the refrigerator.

3- In a frying pan on the fire, put the ghee, then start frying the meatballs, then put it in the oven tray.

4- Mix the tahini with water until it dissolves, then add vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and garlic with constant stirring, then add the cream, then the ranch sauce and continue stirring until the mixture is homogeneous.

5- Pour the mixture over the kofta in the tray, then sprinkle the pepper on the top with a pinch of coriander and put it in the oven until it is done, and serve hot.
