Ingredients how to make a fresh peach cake:


  • ¼ 1 pound (1 finger) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ½ 1 cup sugar, divided amount
  • 2 very large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 large ripe peaches, peeled and pitted, then cut into slices
  • ½ cup chopped pecan nuts


How to make the fresh peach cake:


1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, grease a 9-inch oven tray with oil.

2. In the bowl of an electric mixer equipped with the paddle attachment, beat the butter with 1 cup of sugar for 3 - 5 minutes on medium-high speed, until the consistency becomes pale and smooth. While mixing, add eggs gradually, one by one, mixing after each addition, then add sour cream and vanilla, continue mixing until the consistency becomes smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Reduce the speed of the mixer, then slowly add the dry ingredients to the mixture and mix until blended. In a small bowl, mix the remaining cup of sugar and cinnamon.

4. Spread half of the mixture evenly on a baking tray in one layer. Spread half of the peach slices over the mixture, then sprinkle over the sugar mixture.

5- Spread the rest of the cake mixture, and arrange the remaining peaches on top, then sprinkle the face with the remainder of the sugar mixture, then spread the pecan on top.

6- Bake the cake for 45 - 55 minutes, and make sure it is cooked using the toothpick test and make sure that it comes out clean after placing it in the middle of the cake.

7. Serve hot or at room temperature.
