Ginger is a tropical plant. Its rhizomes are used under the soil because it contains volatile oils with a pungent odor. 

It is abundant in India, China, Mexico, the Philippines, and Pakistan, and it is considered the best type of it is found in Jamaica.

Therefore, in most of these countries' cuisines, we find it one of the main spices in most of their dishes due to its distinctive taste and multiple benefits.

The ginger growing season is from September to February.
