Ingredients of the method of making Bolognese with vegetables:


  • 16 oz bag of pasta of your choice
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium pepper
  • 1 cup of chopped mushrooms

  • Alternatives to "meat" - optional:
  • ½ 1 cup green lentils
  • 1 pound firm tofu
  • ½ 1 cup soy protein



How to make Bolognese with vegetables:


1. Start boiling the pasta according to the package instructions.

2. While the pasta is cooking, divide the vegetables into very small pieces. (Alternatively, grind it in a food processor a few times.)

3. Add a little oil to the bottom of a large skillet, then fry the vegetables on a low heat for about 5 minutes. (If you are using onions, place them first and saute them for 3 minutes before adding any other vegetables.)

5. Pour in the vegetable pasta sauce, then let the mixture simmer until soft.

6- Serve the Bolognese hot over the cooked pasta, then serve.

7. To make tofu: Just eat a piece of tofu and squeeze it to get rid of the liquid as much as possible, crumble the tofu in a bowl, then add two tablespoons of soy sauce and then use it with the bolognese.

8. For lentils: Boil a pot of water on the stove, then add a cup of green lentils and boil for 18 minutes. Wash and drain, then put it in a large bowl, add two tablespoons of soy sauce and stir well until the lentils are covered, then use with the bolognese.

9- For soy protein: Boil a pot of water on the stove, then add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to it in addition to 1 cup of soy protein, stir them well, then leave the protein soaked in the liquid for 5 minutes, then use it with bolognese.

10. You can use other types of vegetables to prepare the recipe, such as broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and zucchini.
